THE Two year - Full time Post Graduate Programme was introduced in July 2007 and the successful
students are awarded with “Post Graduate Diploma in Management” (PGDM).
The program has been devised with vision and great care. It is intensive and exhaustive in coverage
and content. This is complemented by a degree of flexibility and a practical real-world approach built into
each subject syllabi to absorb and stay aligned with contemporary developments in the Indian and
International business environments.
The Programme consists of six trimesters spread over two years. The first three trimesters during the
first year cover primarily core courses and the last three trimesters during the second year mainly focus
on the elective specialisation courses along with a few value added courses. |

- The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Programme of Bhavan's Usha & Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management (BULMIM) is part of Bhavan's pioneering efforts to impart knowledge and skills for the holistic development of aspiring student managers.
- Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi Kendra has been in the forefront of Organising management courses for practicing manager. The PGDM Programme, therefore is the culmination of their rich academic resources aim long experience in the field of business management.
- It aims to equip the students to confront contemporary business problems in different environment, and develop in them a sound business acumen for decision making.
- The programme has been designed with a view to offer an intensive learning curriculum in combination with hands-on training in industrial setting.

- The programme is full-time non-residential and of two year duration comprising six trimester.

Eligibility for Admission |
- The minimum qualification of candidates seeking admission to the programme is Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, Law, Commerce, Medicine, Engineering or Technology from any recognised university in India and abroad or an equivalent degree or diploma recognized by UGC.
- In addition, the candidate must have appeared at any of the major national level management aptitude test such as CAT, MAT, XAT or ATMA.
- Final year students of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they submit evidence of completed graduation within 90 days of the commencement of the programme. Defaulters' admission would be cancelled. There would be no refund.

Procedure for Admission |
- The information bulletin and the application form can be obtained from the office on the payment of Rs. 1100/- in cash or Rs. 1100/ - by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of BULMIM payable at New Delhi. The fee for prospectus and application shall not be refunded under any circumstances
- The application form can also be downloaded from our website www.bulmim.ac.in and the same will be accepted by the Institute on payment of Rs. 1100/- drawn in favour of BULMIM payable at New Delhi.

Selection Process |
Successful candidates demonstrate their abilities through the application and essays, the two references and the compulsory face-toface interview. Please note that only short listed candidates are called for interview. Admission to the PGDM Programme at Bulmim is merit based. Short listing of candidates is done on the basis of their cumulative performance in written examination & interview through three stages process in addition to academic performance up to graduation:

The candidate shall become eligible to take the end Term Examination only if he / she has besides fulfilling other requirements, attended 80% of the total number of lectures, tutorials and seminars conducted during that Term in the subject concerned unless otherwise allowed
by the appropriate authority. 20% absence includes any emergency, medical requirement or any other leave.

Placement Assistance |
- The Institute has an active placement cell which facilitates students in obtaining suitable positions. It continuously counsels and guides the students in their endeavur to plan their long term goals. The Institute encourages students to actively involve themselves in the placement activities.

Fees* |
- Total Fees (2013-2015): Rs. 4,80,000/- plus Rs. 15,000/- Security Deposit (one time payment, refundable). The other expenses, if any, are on actual.
- The payment of Fees would be as follows:
- Rs. 1,20,000/- plus Rs. 15,000/- at then time of admission offer to the students.
- Rs. 1,20,000/- in first week of December 1st year.
- Rs. 1,20,000/- in first week of July next year.
- Rs. 1,20,000/- in first week of December next year.
Fees includes tuition fee, cost of books and reading material. Laptop is currently provided to each student without any additional cost.

Course Curriculum |
The Programme curriculum is as per the AICTE norms / requirements. The structure of the PGDM curriculum would consist of Core as well as Elective subjects. The Institute offers four specializations for students to choose from.
These would be in HR, Finance, Marketing and IT depending upon demand / requirements of the students. Out of these, students would be required to take two specialization / concentration of subjects.
The Industry requirements/ demand would be kept in mind while offering such specializing courses. These would be in line with what is offered in the best B-Schools in India including (IIM's).
- A mix of pedagogy is adopted consisting of class lectures, group discussion, role plays,
case method etc. in order to enhance the learning of the students from the programme. A good blend of theoretical and applied academic inputs would be provided both inside as well as outside the class room. Emphasis would be on the overall development of the students, acquisition of skills and knowledge required for being successful in their job and imparting of ethical values that keep a person going in the long run.
- Students would be evaluated on a continuous basis for their learning. Tests, Exams, presentations, quizzes, project work etc would be administered for this purpose. Relative grading system would be adopted to evaluate the students.
- During the course of the programme, students would be required to undertake on the job / practical training in different organizations.

Evaluation Criteria |
| BULMIM follows a continuous evaluation system with periodic feedback to the students. The evaluation is based on the surprise and announced quizzes, tests, assignments, class participation, project work, mid-term and end-term examination.
Students are evaluated on their relative performance through a letter grading system. The letter grade ‘A' means excellent, ‘B' good, ‘C' satisfactory, ‘D' low pass and ‘F' fail. A ‘Grade Point Average' (GPA) and ‘Cumulative Grade Point Average' (CGPA) is calculated based on the grade points scored in each course and at the end of each term.
