Managing Business Enterprises: Issues and Challenges

                                                  12th January, 2018

An enterprise is a group of business units or functions with a common set of goals and plays an important role in the economic development of a country. Managing an enterprise fundamentally entails fundamental organization of these functions, components and their relationships to guide the implementation of common goals. Unplanned, poorly understood and one-off projects slowly lead to an unorganized management of the enterprise resulting in a chaotic enterprise that struggles to achieve the common goals. Currently, many enterprises are misaligned with the business they are into, resulting in components or structures that are fragmented, redundant and less focused on enterprise business strategy to achieve the common goals. Enterprises should evaluate the possible advantage on their businesses and fundamentally re-invent the way they manage their functions. As the scenario for doing business in India becomes more competitive and turbulent than it ever was, being at the cutting edge of technology would be the fundamental rule to follow in order to succeed. It is now up to the Indian enterprises to think years ahead and re-invent, as there are only two options available – “adapt and prosper” or “lag and perish”.

Under this backdrop, this conference provides a forum to researchers, academicians and industry practitioners to present and discuss their researches on the themes of conference. The conference will endeavour to witness richness in discussions and deliberations to enrich ways and means of managing businesses in the present Scenario.
