An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, with a fulltime PhD in Operations Management from Department of Management Studies, having 7 years of industry and 2 years of research experience, with a self ignited mind and passionate academic focus on management functions to support decision making on wide gamut of India’s challenges related to management of GDP dependent sectors and broad spectrum of industrial problems, particularly natural resource management, enriching decisions and operations in all types of energy resources and technology management, their linkages with cleaner environment and sustainable development, capturing variability in climate change, including public resource management, overall governance & policy issues.

He is a certified chartered engineer from Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata and specialized in power sector regulations from European University Institute Italy (2015-16). Before joining to BULMIM and after earning his PhD degree, he served at TERI School of Advanced Studies New Delhi (as Visiting Faculty), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi (As Research Associate) and Teesta Urja Ltd. (As Academic Trainer to Energy & Power Sector Professionals at Hydro Project of National Importance in a Northeastern State).

At TERI, he taught a course on Production & Operations Management –for a semester, guided and helped fulltime MBA students for choosing and completing their majors project in sub-areas of Inventory management, Waiting line models, Game theory and simulation, Programming  techniques (Linear & Non-linear), Graphical methods, Simplex method, Transportation model, Assignment problem, Sustainable operations management, Facility lay out planning, Operations research & Quantitative techniques and approaches for their understanding theories, concepts and practices in the contemporary times of problems of industries.  

With JNU, at School of International Studies, JNU –he worked on a project titled India’s Energy Security: Inter-regional Cooperation’s to Energy Security Society in Asian Region, supported by Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry New Delhi and at Teesta Industrial Training and Development Centre Sikkim, he assisted in training and professional development of Executive Trainees at one of the Mega Hydro Project, a project on energy generation from water through Teesta Riverbank under the Himalayas near China LoC/ Border to India.  

Prior to his PhD studies, he supported Standards & Labeling (S&L programme) in India under the National Action Plan for Climate Change, the Star Ratings Standards of Air-Conditioners and Refrigerators to reduce energy consumption and Educational Awareness Programme on Enhance Energy Efficiency with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (2008-10), worked on wind power project capacity addition to boost India’s energy mix at costal sites of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Karnataka under Clean development mechanism (UNFCCC Framework) for Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd (2008), short & long term electricity planning for Delhi with Delhi electricity distribution (2006-08), and supported Operations wings (red & yellow line) of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (2005-06)

  • Guided MBA interns/ students at PMI in the areas of Risk Management and Financial Modeling during completion of Life Cycle Costing (LCC) project completed (from July 2013 to June 2014).
  • Participated in various workshops and conference at training institutes of power sector (from July 2013 to June 2014) and provided assisted MDPs to various in-house training requirements of NTPC’s manpower on India’s energy & power sector management (from July 2013 to June 2014).
  • Trained more than 3000 people on Energy Efficiency under the National Mission Plan for Enhanced Energy Efficiency of National Action Plan for Climate Change (Provided assistance in various national and international workshops and conferences conducted across more than 37 cities related to Standards and Labeling Progarmme, Energy Efficiency, Climate Change, organized by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India).
